34081 92 SQUADRON

PAL DVDs:

DVD

92 SQUADRON 50 years down the line.

DVD
  1. The very first steaming on 9th March 1998
  2. In steam for the AGM in March
  3. The very laborious task of painting and sign writing.
  4. The official signing ceremony at Wansford Station prior to hauling it's first passenger train in preservation.
  5. 34081 on its first charter train (The Banana Van specials).
  6. The preparation's for the naming ceremony.
  7. The naming ceremony (in the rain), with Oliver Bulleid present, and the aerial display by a Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight

The DVD continues with various exploits on the celebratory Beer trains and has been edited so that they are suitable for our younger citizens to watch. (Very humorous). In September 1998, 34081 went on its first holiday to the Bluebell Railway. See the tender being loaded at Wansford - in heavy rain (again) and the engine on Dartford Bridge. Many scenes on the Bluebell Railway, including some stunning night shots as it was being fired up, with Bulleid's other famous design, the Ql, standing alongside.

92 SQUADRON hauling some famous crack expresses such as the Golden Arrow, The Atlantic Coast Express, The Man of Kent and others. Finally, the departure from the Bluebell on the back of a low loader (not without incident). There is also archive photographic evidence of the work carried out during its preservation, and the award won from the Heritage Railways Association for the standard of work carried out on 34081.

The running time is 80 minutes and the cost is £11.00 each. post paid. PAL format only. Please allow up to 28 days for delivery.
